Tree Plantation Programme of D.B.S.A. High School (H.S.)

The Tree Plantation Programme of Dakshin barasat Sibdas Acharya High School (H.S.) was observed on a grand scale at school ground and nearby village on 13 October. On this occasion the whole school campus wore a festive look. All the teachers, students, guardians and many guests were present to make the programme a success. At 10 a.m. the programme started with the National Anthem by the students. This glorious programme was organised by the State Forest Department. The honourable Headmaster presided over the programme. The D.F.O. was the chief guest. A short cultural programme was arranged. Students took part in recitations, songs, dramas and dances. The headmaster and the chief guest put short speeches on the necessity of tree plantation. Then the chief guest planted a sapling in the school ground. Students were distributed various types of saplings for planting in their neighbourhoods. This programme came to an end at around 3 p.m. with a vote of thanks by the headmaster to all.
