My Favourite Author

I am a voracious reader. The reading of novels and stories is my hobby also. I have read the contributions of many writers like –Bankimchandra, Rabindranath, Saratchandra, Shakespeare and many others in this short span of my life. I like all of them but Saratchandra Chattopadhyay is my favourite author.
He has written so many books –Ramer Sumati, Bindur Chhele, Mejdidi, Debdas, Srikanta, Pather Dabi, Mahesh and many more. All his works are vivid pen picture of the contemporary Rural Bengal. The characters mostly belong to the middle and lower middle class of the society. His characters are true to life. H is a keen observer of human life and society. We may call him a sympathetic painter of human life. He has boldly pointed out the evils of social life. To him no human being is untouchable. The most striking feature of his works is the voice of justice for the suffering women. The lucid style and simple language make all his works charming. I love him most because his sympathy for the poor and downtrodden has touched my heart.
He has made us to love all because none is born a sinner. The more I read his works, the more I become his admirer. Above all he is a god and a source of light to me. I shall never forget such a lovable author in the forthcoming days in my life.
