ENVIRONMENT POLLUTION

Any abnormal change in chemical, physical and biological characteristics of environment is called pollution.
There are mainly three types of pollution such as –air, water and sound. The air is getting polluted by the exhaust of automobiles, coal ovens, smoke of industries, random cutting of trees and nuclear explosion. As a result the air is getting warmer. The ice-sheets of Antarctic region and glaciers at mountain tops are melting. The layer of ozone gas has been torn in some areas. The ultra violet ray is reaching the earth to our detriment.
Farmers use chemical fertilizer and pesticides. A large number of municipal and industrial wastes are poured into rivers and lakes. Oil tankers often clean out their tanks at sea. These pollute water and kill aquatic life and plants. Again sounds of air horn, siren, crackers and loud speaker cause sound pollution. As a result we suffer from deafness, heart and mental diseases and many other problems.
The basic requirement of fighting pollution is to educate people about the risk of pollution. Government must take necessary steps to control the pollutants. Above all, plantation is very necessary to save this beautiful earth from the curse of pollution. And there everywhere should ring a slogan “Less pollution is the best solution.”
