Once upon a time it was raining cats and dogs. A rat was running to save his life from a crow. Suddenly a hermit saw the running rat and being kind to it he saved the rat from the crow’s mouth. Then he brought the rat in his home but there the rat became very afraid of a cat. He requested the hermit, “Oh master please save me from this ferocious cat”. Dharmik thought the matter and turned the rat into a cat. After a few days the cat faced a dog and requested the same to the hermit. The kind hermit instantly turned him into a dog. But the dog became afraid of a tiger and wished to be a tiger. Now the Sage turned the dog into a tiger. Then the tiger began to roar and headed to the hermit. It said, ” Now I am so hungry. I will eat you.” The hermit instantly made out his mistake and turned the tiger into the rat. Thereafter the hermit said, “I was too foolish to make out your character.”
Moral: We should not take pity for the ungradeful.
